To provide academic support through a peer-driven tutoring and mentoring approach. Workshops and tutoring services are available to you as a West Kentucky Community and Technical College student.
To impact the abilities, successes, and credential attainment of each participant. We strive to accomplish this by providing access to trained and experienced tutorial staff who will mentor you and augment classroom learning.
The tutoring staff receives at least 15 hours of tutor training in the Tutoring Center’s tutor training program, which has achieved the International Tutor Training Program Certification from the College Reading and Learning Association. Additionally, tutors are supervised by a knowledgeable tutor trainer.
The Tutoring Center will be now offers students a self-scheduling option in addition to being able to schedule in person and over the phone. For online self-scheduling, you will access Starfish via Blackboard or PeopleSoft (bottom left side) to schedule any appointments for the Tutoring Center. When choosing a tutor, please ensure that the course you are requesting assistance in is listed in the General Overview of the tutor you are scheduling with. If you do not see your course listed, feel free to contact the Tutoring Center for more information.
