If you want to work in healthcare but don't want to be a nurse, we have several programs that may fit your interests. These programs take from one to two years to complete. Completion of these programs will earn you a certificate, diploma, and/or an associate degree.

Program	Admission Requirements
Clinical Laboratory Technician	Attend a pre-admission conference. Apply for admission to West Kentucky Community & Technical College if not currently enrolled. Submit an official high school transcript or GED. Submit an official transcript of all previous college work. Submit ACT or COMPASS scores.
Dental Assisting	Attend a pre-admission conference. Apply for admission to West Kentucky Community & Technical College if not currently enrolled. Submit an official transcript of all previous college work, other than KCTCS colleges Submit ACT or COMPASS scores.
Dental Hygiene	Attend a pre-admission conference. Apply for admission to Henderson Community College if not currently enrolled. Submit an official transcript of all previous college work, other than KCTCS colleges Submit ACT scores.
Diagnostic Medical Sonography	Attend a pre-admission conference. Apply for admission to West Kentucky Community & Technical College if not currently enrolled. Submit an official high school transcript or GED. Submit an official transcript of all previous college work. Submit ACT or COMPASS scores.
Physical Therapist Assistant	Attend a pre-admission conference. Apply for admission to West Kentucky Community & Technical College if not currently enrolled. Submit an official high school transcript or GED. Submit an official transcript of all previous college work. Submit ACT scores. Submit documentation of a minimum of 8 hours of observation and/or experience; 4 hours of this observation should be in a hospital physical therapy department.
Radiography	Attend a pre-admission conference. Apply for admission to West Kentucky Community & Technical College if not currently enrolled. Submit an official high school transcript or GED. Submit an official transcript of all previous college work. Submit ACT or COMPASS scores.
Respiratory Care	Attend a pre-admission conference. Apply for admission to West Kentucky Community & Technical College if not currently enrolled. Submit an official high school transcript or GED. Submit an official transcript of all previous college work. Submit ACT or COMPASS scores.
Surgical Technology	Attend a pre-admission conference. Apply for admission to West Kentucky Community & Technical College if not currently enrolled. Submit an official high school transcript or GED. Submit an official transcript of all previous college work. Submit ACT or COMPASS scores.
