Grants

All federal grants are awarded to students with financial need.  The amount of your Federal Pell Grant depends on your cost of attendance, expected family contribution (EFC), and enrollment status (full or part-time).  Grants do not have to be repaid unless you withdraw from school and owe Return of Title IV funds.

The Federal Pell Grant is the foundation of federal student financial aid and is generally awarded to undergraduate students – those who have not earned a bachelor’s or graduate degree.  Pell grants for the 2011-2012 school year range from $277 to $2775 per semester based on your EFC and number of credit hours enrolled.

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is awarded to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need – those with the lowest EFC numbers as determined by the FAFSA.  Priority is given to students who receive Federal Pell Grants.
