West Kentucky Community & Technical College wants to ensure the college community that we are closely monitoring the swine flu outbreak in the United States. The World Health Organization no longer considers the swine flu as a world wide pandemic. WKCTC will continue to take the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the seasonal influenza virus.
Per our WKCTC Pandemic Influenza Plan, there will be daily disinfection of shared areas. This will entail disinfection of spaces such as: classroom desk tops, computer labs, bathrooms, vending areas, and the common areas where students tend to gather.
Also a daily cleaning of handrails, door knobs/handles, panic bars, etc. will occur.
