Do you like working with your hands? Working with machines? With an overwhelming need for technicians to build machines, manufacture parts, and provide input for innovative ideas, our Computerized Manufacturing & Machining programcan assist you in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to secure a position in a global marketplace. The program adheres to industrial standards on safety, work attitudes, and work performances. By gaining foundational knowledge of manual machines and the latest technology in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining, graduates can pursue a manufacturing career. Courses on CNC equipment will be offered in the Emerging Technology Center which is a designated *Haas Technical Educational Center. Check out our flyer.

Program Standing: Progression in the Computerized Manufacturing & Machining program is contingent upon achievement of a minimum grade of C in each technical course.

Industry Credentials

Students may take the NIMS theory test and performance project to qualify for the industry credentials. An additional cost may be required.

Length of Program

Students seeking an Associate in Applied Science degree can complete the program in four or five semesters by completing a total of 69-74 credit hours. Those seeking a diploma can complete their plan of study in four semesters by completing a total of 45-52 credit hours of technical and general education courses. Certificates embedded within the diploma may be awarded as credential requirements are met. Day classes and some evening classes are offered during two 16week semesters (August-December and January-May) each academic year. Dual credit coursesare accepted from local high school districts and allow the student to enter in their second and/or thirdsemester of the program.
