West Kentucky Community and Technical College recently partnered with Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Paducah to host a Celebration of Excellence to encourage underrepresented groups to strive for excellence in education and lifelong learning. WKCTC President Anton Reece told more than 100 people assembled in the church February 26 that it didn’t matter where they rest on the spectrum of life, education should be important to them. “I want to shift your thinking because education should not be an option; it is a necessity.” The Celebration of Excellence event was part of the Super Someday initiative of the 16 college in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, as well as the KCTCS System Office.
