Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training
A four-week commercial driver's license (CDL) training class begins at 8:00 a.m. September
18, 2017 at the Purchase Area Training Center, located at 234 Pioneer Industrial
Drive near Mayfield.
This new Commercial Driver's License (CDL) program is an accelerated training program offered by West Kentucky Community and Technical College's Workforce Solutions training department. It is designed to prepare individuals for an entry-level position in the trucking industry. Our focus is on developing safe, responsible drivers.
The program includes:
- CDL learner’s permit and Class A endorsement preparation.
- 160 hours of training to include: classroom, range and road instruction.
- DOT rules, regulations and log book instruction.
- Class A road test administered by Kentucky State Police upon class completion.
Students must be able to read, write and speak English; be at least 18 years old for intrastate license or 21 years old for interstate license; meet DOT physical requirements; pass a DOT drug test; and have a valid Kentucky driver’s license.
The program cost of $3,995 includes instruction, CDL permit and license fees, DOT physical and drug test.
