WKCTC to Host Information Technology Conference November 10

MEDIA ADVISORY - NOT FOR PUBLICATION: PADUCAH, KY (11/06/2017) West Kentucky Community and Technical College is hosting IT Connect, an information technology conference (IT) to bring together avid IT professionals to showcase the region's best companies and potential IT job opportunities within the region.

Ryan Green, president of Rygre Digital Marketing, a marketing firm specializing in Search Engine Optimization will be one of the conference keynote speakers. Growing up with a passion for computers, Green explored all the dark corners of the internet. Emerging from the dark web with a bug for entrepreneurship and a vision of the growing role of internet and technology in business, he set his sights on getting as close to the cutting edge of the future as possible.

Other speakers include Trevor Bonnstetter, CEO of West Kentucky & Tennessee Telecommunications and Ardmore Telephone Company; Willie Kerns, owner of SmartPath Technologies; Doug Truitt, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kalleo Technologies; Keith Burrow, Electronics Technician for Jackson Purchase Energy; and Stan Eckenberg president for CSI.

IT Connect will be held in the college's Emerging Technology Center November 10 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This year's theme is "IT Jobs Near You" and aims to provide a networking opportunity for alumni, new and potential students, industry and the public.

The media is encouraged to attend. Conference attendance is at capacity. Event registration is now closed.
