Art Exhibit Opening by Paul Aho
Paul Aho, head of photography and digital imaging at the Paducah School of Art, will open his art exhibition of paintings, photographs, and etching - From There to Here on February 26. Ahos paintings are created with layering techniques characteristic of digital imaging and traditional printmaking which rely on distinct layers of color and image to achieve their final results. Aho uses similar processes to create his densely layered abstract paintings. Coming full circle, his etchings typically originate from digitized remakes of his paintings. The photographs on display represent images created since his arrival in Paducah in September.
