Celebration of Black History Month

West Kentucky Community and Technical College will celebrate Black History Month with a variety of events and activities throughout February. Join us in the celebration!

  • February 1-28 Weekly Trivia Quiz for WKCTC students, faculty and staff. Pick up your trivia questions and test your knowledge of African-American history. Questions will be posted in the Anderson Technical Building, Rosenthal Hall, and the Student Center.
  • February 11 Sophisticated Ladies -- a Tony Award winning musical featuring the musical revue of the music of Duke Ellington. Tickets: Julie Moore at 270-534-3212 or
  • February 23-24 Black Wall Street -- a look at the historical and affluent Greenwood Community in Tulsa, Oklahoma, reserved for blacks immediately after the Civil War.

  • February 27 Super Sunday, WKCTC will partner with African-American churches to host a college information fair for you and your family.
