Congratulations to David HeflinThis week, the United Way of Paducah-McCracken County celebrated National Volunteer Week by recognizing five individuals, one each day, who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to our community. The volunteer of the day for Wednesday, April 21 was our own David Heflin, Radiography Program Coordinator amp; Sonography Instructor.
The United Way surprised David on Wednesday in his office with balloons and a plaque honoring his volunteer efforts. Not only is David active on several committees at the college, but he coordinates volunteer projects for his students in the radiography program. Last fall, David and his students scraped and painted the exterior of the Purchase Area Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center. This spring, David and his group worked on a new parking area for Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center.
Congratulations David; we thank you and your students for all of the time and effort you have given to our community.
