Floral Class for Beginners
West Kentucky Community and Technical College will be offering a design class for
the beginning floral creation enthusiast beginning in October. Beginning Floral Design
will be offered on four consecutive Thursday evenings in October at the Emerging Technology
Center on the WKCTC campus.
The class will be held on Thursday, October 4, Thursday, October 11, Thursday, October 18, and Thursday, October 25 from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. The cost is $85 for the four sessions. Supplies for one arrangement including vase will be furnished.
Session topics are as follows:
- Session One: Introduction to design and bow making
- Session Two: Basic floral design step by step
- Session Three: Creating your own style
- Session Four: Choices for the holidays
Instructor Joyce M. Vasseur owned and operated a successful florist business in Marion,
IL, and taught floral design at John A. Logan College for several years. She is an
artist, an interior decorator, a floral designer, and a certified home stager.
