Floral Class Offered at WKCTC
West Kentucky Community and Technical College Workforce Solution will be offering
a design class for the beginning floral creation enthusiast. To better serve the community,
Beginning Floral Design will be offered at two locations starting next month. One
course (four sessions) will be offered at the Skilled Craft Training Center in Hickory
- October 4, 11, 18, and 25. The other four-session course will be offered in the
Emerging Technology Center on the WKCTC campus October 6, 13, 20, and 27. Both courses
will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. each night. The cost is $85 for the four sessions.
Session topics are as follows:
- Session One: Introduction to Design and Bow Making
- Session Two: Basic Floral Design Step by Step
- Session Three: Creating Your Own Style
- Session Four: Choices for the Holidays
Instructor Joyce M. Vasseur owned and operated a successful florist business in Marion,
Illinois, and taught floral design at John A. Logan College in nearby Carterville
for several years. She is an artist, an interior decorator, a floral designer, and
a certified home stager.
Supplies for one arrangement including vase will be furnished for first session at each location.
