New Clinical Lab Technician Program to Start in January
West Kentucky Community amp; Technical College will start a new Clinical Laboratory Technician program in the spring semester 2010, which begins in January.
Individuals who are interested in applying for enrollment in the Spring 2010 clinical laboratory program must attend a pre-admission conference scheduled this fall. Pre-admissions conferences will all be held in the Allied Health building Room E107 on:
Monday, September 28 from 3-4 pm
Wednesday, October 14 from 3-4 pm
Clinical Laboratory Technicians are health professionals skilled in both the theory and practice of clinical laboratory procedures that provide data physicians use to determine the absence, presence, extent, and cause of disease. They must be accurate, dedicated, skilled and self-motivated.
Clinical Laboratory Technicians are employed by hospitals, clinics, doctors offices, research facilities, public health centers, veterinary offices, clinics, colleges, industry and the Armed Forces. Beginning salaries for these technicians throughout the United States range from $30,160 to $36,400.
