PSA Student Selected as Finalist

Paducah School of Art student, Mark Watkins, has been selected as a finalist in the 32nd Annual College and High School Photography Contest, an international competition featuring 18,000 student photographers from around the world. The contest is co-sponsored by Serbin Communications and Nikon.

Watkins photograph features a subtle landscape study taken in morning light near his home. He is among 100 finalists in the college student category, and his work will appear in the hard cover publication Best of College and High School Photography 2012, published by Serbin Communications.

Winners of the contest will be selected by a national panel next month and will be included in Nikons Emerging Photographers Hall of Fame.

The Paducah School of Art, a division of West Kentucky Community and Technical College, offers an Associate of Fine Arts degree as well as studio art classes for students of all levels and disciplines. Classes are offered on both the WKCTC campus and the Paducah School of Art located at 409 Broadway, in downtown Paducah.
