Radiography Program Receives DonationWestern Baptist Hospital recently donated three pieces of radiography equipment to West Kentucky Community and Technical College.
The hospitals radiography department donated a single plate computed radiography reader, a film generator, and a digital reading station to the college, said David Heflin, coordinator for WKCTCs radiography program.
This equipment will help our radiography students immensely, Heflin said. Our students will have the ability to work with the same equipment in the classroom setting that is used in the work environment.
Western Baptist Hospital Diagnostic Imaging Director Bob Seely said donating the equipment to the colleges radiography program is a win-win for both organizations. The donation to the WKCTC radiography program helps the students receive training on the latest radiography technology, and in turn, will provide the community with well-educated, well-trained individuals entering the healthcare workforce, Seely said.
