The Grainger Foundation Supports WKCTC

The Grainger Foundation, Lake Forest, Illinois, donated $10,000 to West Kentucky Community and Technical College in support of its mission to be an educational institution that provides excellence in teaching and learning and promotes student success.

This donation will be used to continue the growth of our technical programs on campus, said Tammy Thompson, WKCTC Public Relations Coordinator. Whether it's helping adults learn to read through Adult Basic Education or providing continuing education opportunities for those seeking to up-grade their current skills, WKCTC seeks to build a better community for the future and this donation helps us achieve that goal. We are grateful to The Grainger Foundation for its generosity.

This donation was recommended by Mike Steinmeyer, branch manager of W.W. Grainger, Inc.s Paducah location. Grainger has been a part of the Paducah business community for more than 10 years as the leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair, and operating products.

We are proud to recommend the programs offered by WKCTC, said Steinmeyer. At Grainger we understand the importance of skilled training to the students who will someday comprise our future workforce.
