West Kentucky Community and Technical College invites you to attend the dedication of the new Emerging Technology Center.
The dedication of the new Emerging Technology Center will be held on Tuesday, March
30 at 2:00 pm. WKCTC broke ground on the Emerging Technology Center in June 2006.
Just over three years later, the Center opened its doors. Technology is changing
rapidly in todays business and industry world and WKCTC continually strives to be
ahead of the curve. The Emerging Technology Center will provide more opportunities
for needed industrial and technical training and reflects the changes in todays workforce,
said WKCTC President, Barbara Veazey.
The ETC offers programs including Information Technology, Health Physics, and the new Associate in Applied Science Degree in Applied Engineering Technology. The Center is also home to a conference room equipped with 3D and virtual capabilities, customized training for business and industry, and two 10,000 square foot high bay areas offering a variety of training opportunities.
Also located in the Emerging Technology Center, the Wi-Fi Grill is open Monday-Friday to college faculty, staff, students, and the community. A continental breakfast with various baked goods, fruit, yogurt, and coffee is served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Lunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Lives are changed at West Kentucky Community and Technical College. And even though
technology will continue to change at a fast pace, WKCTC is ready and will continue
to meet the needs of its students and the business community.
