WKCTC Offering Day of EPIC Opportunities July 21

Paducah, Kentucky (July 12, 2016) - A new Learn On Demand program at West Kentucky Community and Technical College called EPIC - Enhancing Programs for IT Certification - is designed to help students earn essential credentials in less time at a lower cost.

WKCTC is hosting a free EPIC Opportunities Day Thursday, July 21 to provide detailed information about the program, which includes online and in-person classes this fall in Computer and Information Technologies, Health Science Technology and Medical Information Technology with multiple start dates to fit busy schedules.

Additional student support services, resources and programs will also be featured during EPIC Opportunities Day held in the Anderson Technical Building from 2-5 p.m.

With our EPIC program, students can experience cutting-edge online learning, train in high growth, high paying careers and get the support services and resources to help them be successful, said Kate Senn, EPIC Project Lead at WKCTC. EPIC Opportunities Day is the perfect event to get started.

EPIC is funded in part by a grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labors Employment and Training Administration and incorporates an increased student support structure, adaptive learning technologies, improved student tracking and new and improved modules to ensure success in online learning and employment.

The program is made up of a consortium with West Kentucky Community and Technical College, Hazard Community and Technical College, Big Sandy Community and Technical College, Jefferson Community and Technical College, Somerset Community and Technical College and Southeast Community and Technical College. Regional and national partners also play a critical component through relationship building and offering the best learning environment and preparation for the working environment.
