Nunsense, a hilarious musical comedy by Dan Goggins, begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken
discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52
of the sisters; and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide
to stage a variety show to raise the money. Here we meet the outrageous characters
that make up this delightful evening of fun and entertainment. Featuring music, dance,
an audience quiz, and comic surprises, the show has become an international phenomenon
with more than 5,000 productions worldwide!
The WKCTC production of Nunsense features five exceptional actresses: Scytha T. Abraham as Mother Superior Mary Regina, a former circus performer; Elyse Millizer as second-in-command Sister Mary Hubert; Janet Bloomingburg as the streetwise nun from Brooklyn, Sister Robert Anne; Sydney Hughes as Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is determined to be the world's first ballerina nun; and Grace Baldridge as the wacky, childlike Sister Mary Amnesia, who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.
