The intent of the program is to continue to challenge senior adult minds in a 1-2 hour-time frame without the long-term commitment of frequent class meetings, said Jennie Boyarski, Senior Learning for Fun member. Senior learner classes begin August 31 and run through December. Participants can register for one or all courses for one low registration fee of $25.
Class topics include learning about
- The responsibilities of each department in the Paducah Police;
- The role Paducah played in the Civil War;
- The thought process of deciding to purchase new or updated existing computer equipment;
- How to begin to create a family tree;
- And much more!
Participants can sign up for a trip to Grand Rivers that includes a meal at Pattis 1800 Settlement restaurant and a Branson style Christmas Variety Show matinee at the Badgett Theater. The trip will cost $40 for participants who have registered for the fall series. For participants who only want to go on the trip, the cost will be $65.
