Go Higher Grant Funding Still Available for Spring 2018

Are you a student who could benefit from a little extra aid?  If so, we encourage you download and complete this Go Higher Grant Application (PDF).  Please fill this out as soon as possible because funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the Financial Aid office if you need assistance. They are located in the Anderson Technical Building, room 107.

  • Enrollment Requirement:  A student may receive a spring award based on any number of enrolled hours provided that other eligibility criteria are met and the student has not used the award maximum of $1,000.
    • Funds cannot be used for the summer term.
  • Eligibility Requirements: 
    • Turned age 24 prior to July 1, 2017
    • U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident
    • Kentucky resident as defined by 13 KAR 2:045 (Determination of residency status for admission and tuition assessment purposes)
    • EFC less than 7,992 (150% of Pell EFC)
    • Undergraduate student who has not earned first bachelor’s degree
      • Must be enrolled in associate or bachelor’s degree program unless attending a publically operated vocational and technical school
      • Can be enrolled in a certificate, diploma, or degree program of at least (2) two years in length at publically operated vocational and technical schools
    • Meets satisfactory academic progress, as determined by the institution
    • Completed the FAFSA verification process, if applicable
    • Has remaining financial need
  • Self-help aid (loans, work study) should not be included in the need calculation prior to grant determination; need for work study and subsidized loans should be calculated after grant awarding
    • If a school’s main headquarters is located outside of Kentucky, student must be taking at least 50% of courses in seat at participating Kentucky campus
    • Have not received CAP and/or KTG funds for the 2017-2018 school year
