KCTCS Giving Day Raises Over $340,000 to Support Students Across the Commonwealth
The Kentucky Community and Technical College System celebrated a successful Giving Day on April 22, 2026, raising a total of $343,705 through 1,631 gifts to support students and programs across its 16 colleges.
Among the standout institutions, West Kentucky Community and Technical College led the system in total dollars raised, securing $66,798 through 123 gifts—an increase over last year’s Giving Day totals in both categories. As the top-performing college, WKCTC will receive an additional $1,000 scholarship award from the KCTCS Foundation.
“We are thrilled by the incredible support shown by our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community on Giving Day, and these generous gifts will strengthen WKCTC while creating life-changing opportunities for our students through scholarships, emergency assistance, and program support,” said Andy Wilson, Vice President of Institutional Advancement at West Kentucky Community and Technical College.
Donors showed strong support for several featured funds at WKCTC, including the Student Emergency Fund, Challenger Learning Center, Community Scholarship Program, Regional Educators Scholarship Fund, and PJC Academic Scholarships. The Student Emergency Fund alone raised nearly $8,000 through 65 gifts, demonstrating a shared commitment to helping students overcome unexpected financial barriers.
In addition, the Paducah Junior College Foundation amplified donor impact by offering a dollar-for-dollar match on all Giving Day contributions, resulting in an additional $25,000 in matching gifts.
KCTCS Giving Day continues to highlight the generosity of donors and the lasting impact of community support on student success. Funds raised provide critical resources, scholarships, and emergency assistance that empower students to stay on track and achieve their educational goals.
