WKCTC’s Paducah School of Art and Design and Yeiser Art Center Team Up for First-Ever Art Crawl
Published on Nov 2, 2026
Art is taking to the streets of Paducah! West Kentucky Community and Technical College’s (WKCTC) Paducah School of Art and Design (PSAD) is partnering with the Yeiser Art Center to host its first-ever Art Crawl, a free, family-friendly event celebrating the creativity and artistic talent found throughout Paducah.
The event will bring together local artists, students, musicians, vendors and businesses for an afternoon and evening of art, entertainment and hands-on experiences throughout Downtown and Lower Town Paducah. Visitors can explore galleries, meet artists, shop locally, enjoy live music and even create a little art of their own.
The Art Crawl will kick off at PSAD in historic Lower Town from 3–6 p.m., with activities continuing at the Yeiser Art Center from 5–8 p.m. Maps will be available to guide visitors to participating locations, each offering something different to discover.
Three Exhibitions, Live Art and Hands-On Fun at PSAD
The celebration begins at PSAD, where visitors will have the opportunity to explore three exhibitions featuring the work of faculty, local artists and students.
The Bill Ford Gallery will feature “The Arty Bunch,” a faculty exhibition showcasing works by Dustin Clark, Emily Esau, Tanya Gadbaw, Alan Jackson, Kelley Johnson, Andrew Long and Randy Simmons.
“This is the first faculty showing in three years. I’m excited to bring it back as we introduce our newest faculty member, Andrew Long, ceramicist and 3D instructor at PSAD. Works exhibited will be a great mix of drawing, painting, ceramics, graphic design and video,” said PSAD Gallery Director and faculty member Randy Simmons.
The PJC Gallery will feature “Bits and Pieces,” a solo exhibition of drawings and sculptures by local artist Ben Walker, while Gallery Q will showcase “Visual Noise,” a solo exhibition by PSAD student and upcoming graduate Paris Galindez.
But the experience doesn't stop at viewing art. PSAD students Kendyl Suiter and Ryann Osborne will create live portrait drawings, giving visitors an opportunity to watch artists at work. Guests can also purchase and screen-print their own T-shirts, then collect limited-edition iron-on patches available at participating Art Crawl locations to create a one-of-a-kind souvenir of the event.
Adding to the atmosphere, the Cliff Davis Trio will perform live music at PSAD from 4–6 p.m.
More Art, Music and Creativity Throughout Paducah
The celebration continues at the Yeiser Art Center, where visitors can experience “The Art of British Motors,” an exhibition featuring works by local artists.
Acclaimed artist Oliver Herring will also lead TASK, an interactive art experience that encourages participants to use their imaginations, experiment with materials and collaborate in unexpected ways. No artistic experience is needed, just a willingness to jump in and create.
Throughout Downtown and Lower Town, additional Art Crawl stops will offer opportunities to browse art vendors and booksellers, enjoy poetry readings and live music, participate in painting activities and visit local restaurants.
Brooke Yandle, event coordinator with the Yeiser Art Center, hopes the inaugural Art Crawl will grow into a community tradition, bringing the energy of a neighborhood block party together with Paducah's vibrant arts scene.
Whether visitors are longtime art enthusiasts, curious beginners or families looking for something fun to do together, the Art Crawl offers a chance to experience Paducah's creative community in a new way.
The Art Crawl is free and open to all ages. Activities at PSAD will take place from 3–6 p.m., with events at the Yeiser Art Center from 5–8 p.m. Maps highlighting participating locations will be available during the event.
