Online Learning

West Kentucky Community and Technical College is a leader in online learning with over 20 years of offering online courses in every aspect of the college experience. WKCTC online courses provide high quality content to ensure all students are enriched with the knowledge needed to succeed in their field of study. 

West Kentucky Community and Technical College provides courses and an affordable price to all students.  In-state and out-of-state students pay the in-state tuition rate.  

Online courses at WKCTC offer an excellent opportunity for you to pursue your educational goals at times and locations convenient to you.  You can study anytime, anywhere, without the hassle and expense of driving to and from campus, finding a parking spot, getting a baby-sitter, paying for get the idea. Or you may mix in a few online classes with your on-campus ones.  You may choose from two styles of courses; Learn by Term courses or Learn on Demand's credit for prior learning courses.


NC-SARA logoWest Kentucky Community and Technical College has been approved by Kentucky to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.


The mission of West Kentucky Community and Technical College is to provide excellence in teaching and learning, promote student success, and support economic development.  To accomplish this mission, the college will provide the following: 

  • Academic, general education, and technical courses leading to certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees.
  • A general academic curriculum of university-parallel courses meeting transfer requirements of the first two years of a baccalaureate degree.

  • Customized training to meet the changing needs of business and industry.

  • Associated services including, but not limited to, library services, cultural and enrichment opportunities, information technology resources, and student support service.
