Associate in Science
AS degree transferring to a University for continued education.
What is an As Degree?
The Science and Mathematics Division offers transfer courses parallel to the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. Completion of an Associate in Science, Associate in Arts, or Associate in Applied Science degree can provide direct entry into the job market as well as enhanced educational opportunities. See an academic advisor for a list of courses that best meet your educational plans. The division offers a rich learning experience that fully prepares WKCTC transfer and technical students for success in an environment of respect, opportunity, and empowerment.
Transfer Opportunities
All students are encouraged to complete a program of study at KCTCS and to consider transferring to a bachelor degree program to further their academic and career goals. The AS degree includes a substantial amount of general education courses and are designed to accommodate transfer. KCTCS has developed a number of transfer agreements to assist students completing AA, AS, and AAS programs to transfer to bachelor degree programs. A list of these transfer agreements can be found at the KCTCS web site at: kctcs.edu Search words: Transfer Agreements.
If you are interested in transferring, or you just have questions about transferring, contact WKCTC's Transfer Center. Each college or university in Kentucky also has staff to provide information to KCTCS students about transferring to that specific institution.
