***Students with less than a 2.0 GPA are not eligible for admission.
- A current ACT/SAT or NLN NEX or Evolve A2 admission assessment exam is strongly recommended
- Applicants must earn a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0, calculated based on all completed general education courses required for the nursing program. Only grades posted on or before the application deadline will be considered.
- The GPA calculation will include the following courses, if completed: PSY 110; one Quantitative Reasoning course at the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science level (MAT 150 or STA 151 preferred); BIO 137; BIO 139; BIO 225; ENG 101; and one heritage or humanities course.
- If multiple heritage or humanities courses have been completed, the course with the highest grade will be used in the GPA calculation.
- 5 additional points will be awarded to applicant who have 12 graded non developmental college hours from a regionally accredited college. The former West KY Vocational college became regionally accredited on January 1, 2004. Courses completed prior to this date do not qualify for the additional 5 points
- In the event of a tie in total points, the applicants will be ranked by GPA in order to determine admission into the nursing program
