Radiography Selective Admission Process

Points are calculated in the following four areas. Applicants are ranked according to points earned. A maximum of 40 points is possible.

You must have a minimum KCTCS cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher to be considered for the radiography program. You must have a minimum grade of "C" for all pre-requisite & co-requisite classes.

Applicable credit will be evaluated from the following courses:

  • Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II
  • Social Science
  • Humanities/Heritage
  • College Algebra
  • Writing I
  • Medical Terminology

 Grades will be evaluated from each of the following courses; please note that you must have a minimum grade of "C" in these courses to be considered for the program"

  • BIO 137 Human Anatomy and Physiology I
  • BIO 139 Human Anatomy and Physiology II
  • MAT 150 College Algebra or higher level quantitative reasoning course

5 Points will be awarded to applicants who are state licensed in an allied health or nursing field.

 

Only final course grades in classes completed by the March 1 deadline will be used in calculating selective admission points. In the event of a tie in the final number of points, final applicant selection will be determined by cumulative grade point average (GPA).
