What is MyGED?

Whats the GED test like?
The GED test has been updated to make sure it measures what graduating high school seniors know and what colleges and employers will expect of you. Four (4) Parts:
1. Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA) (150 minutes)
- Section 1 (35 minutes*)
- Section 2 (45 minutes)
- Student Break (10 minutes)
- Section 3 (60 minutes*)
* The time allotted for sections 1 and 3 may vary slightly, but the total time will always be 150 minutes.
2. Mathematical Reasoning (115 minutes)
- Part 1 (first 5 test questions) calculator NOT allowed
- Part 2 (remaining 41 test questions) calculator allowed
3. Science (90 minutes)
4. Social Studies (90 minutes)
- Section 1 (65 minutes)
- Section 2 (25 minutes)
Offered on computer (paper available for accommodations only)
English and Spanish.
What is the passing score?
On the GED test you need to earn at least 150 points on each subject to pass. To find out if you're likely to pass, you must take GED Ready: The Official Practice Test and the only test that can tell you if you're likely to pass. Sign into MyGED at GED.com to get ready with GED Ready.
Is there a fee to take the test?
You can pay as you go with the GED test. This means you can pay for each subject individually or when you are ready to test. In Kentucky the fee per subject is $30 or $120 for the total battery.

Contact local adult education programs, Kentucky Adult Education website or sign up for MyGED at GED.com and click on Study to find tools, free practice test questions, and GED Ready: The Official Practice Test. West Kentucky Community & Technical College offers FREE GED classes at the WKCTC- Adult Learning Center in the Anderson Technical Building, Room 111.
