The library mission is to provide access to information and knowledge in appropriate formats to support the college curriculum. Comprehensive and dynamic services are provided to encourage information literacy, the achievement of research goals, and the pursuit of intellectual enrichment.

Chargers and Charge-up Stations
Need to charge up your phone or laptop while on campus? The library has chargers for common devices such as laptops, iPhones, Androids, and Kindles available for checkout for 3 hours in the library. There are also power towers in the Reading Room and Research Room with USB ports and outlets where you can plug in and charge up.
The fax machine is free for student use. Please ask for assistance at the circulation desk.
The library has two designated computer labs, the Lab and the Research Room. Computers are available on a first come, first served basis (unless they are reserved for a class). The Lab can be reserved by faculty for student work sessions and library orientations. Please be mindful if the reserve signs are out in the Lab. Both areas have handicapped accessible computer stations and are equipped with handrails. These items are available to WKCTC patrons:
- Windows 10
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Lockdown browsers
- Connection to black/white printing (see print management policy)
- Wireless network access and printing
Note: In addidition to the library, there are other labs on campus for student use. (see computer labs list)
Wi-Fi & Wireless Printing
Free Wi-Fi is available at Matheson Library for students and guests to connect to
the internet. Just log on to the 'KCTCS-GUEST' network with your personal device.
Wireless printing is available at Matheson Library. The wireless printer is located in the Research Room of the library and directions are available upon request at the circulation desk.
Matheson Library has a dedicated print kiosk at the front of the circulation desk. Simply plug your flash drive into the computer, sign in using your KCTCS username and password, and then print directly to our wireless printer. Step by step Instructions are provided at the kiosk, or you can ask one of our friendly staff members for help.
Can't find a book or article that you are looking for at Matheson Library? We can borrow it from another library through Interlibrary Loan! It is free, and easy to do. Visit the library, call to request, or fill out the interlibrary loan form here.
